The only friend who has come over consistently over the years lived down the street, but has now moved enough blocks over that it is not convenient for him to just drop on over like he used to. And, when our severely autistic child was living at home, I would keep the house relatively clean, for us and for the "experts" who would come for therapies or consultations, but the back yard has always been a disaster, no matter what house we lived in. It sounds like you may be able to have more of the "normal" life than you thought was possible.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00250277334722378788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4045303808923827751.post-13429151171312352722013-08-25T19:02:07.259-04:002013-08-25T19:02:07.259-04:00Ah, the roads our children lead us down (in their ...Ah, the roads our children lead us down (in their own sweet time). This was wonderful of you to share and I am so pleased for his new friendship. And I agree with everyone else to now worry about the house. Your efforts are spent on the boys and will have a much greater return! Unless you count Hubby. Glad your younger one has made a friend. Grandson (Aspergers) finally made some real friends when he joined the Scholastic Bowl team as a freshman. His most recent interest in middle European political history finally paid off. : - )angelaparsonmyershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00444590717139156975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4045303808923827751.post-85386789892623288352013-08-24T01:06:47.533-04:002013-08-24T01:06:47.533-04:00Too many well kept yards and houses represent fami...Too many well kept yards and houses represent families that have skipped carelessly past the important things and moved hastily on to the frivolous.
